Over the years, we get asked many questions, so here are our answers — even though you didn’t ask, you are probably thinking about it!
First off, congrats on your new adventure! It is scary to start a new business — and a lot of work — but we hope some of the information we provide you here will help you out.
Obviously, you have already given your business name a lot of thought, and if not, do THAT first.
We’re going to put a link here that will direct you to the Government of Canada’s website that provides steps to starting a business LINK.
We are going to give you some “heads up” stuff that we have provided too many people who we have helped get their business going.
Those a just a few things you should do, but a VERY IMPORTANT thing you need to do is remember to take some “me time!” It can get overwhelming when you are a small business owner, so please remember to be mindful of your time — make sure you take self-care time!

Creative time can be early in the morning (after coffee … several cups of coffee) or it can be early in the afternoon (after dipping into the secret stash of chocolate in the filing cabinet) … or at 2:20 a.m. when Ryan Reynolds is about to propose to our senior designer and a design pops into the dream and she has to get up and sketch out the idea (that’s the only reason she hasn’t accept Ryan’s proposal … because, she gets woken up … yep, that’s the only reason …)
Joking aside, it can take a couple of weeks of creative doodling, then drawing out mockups, then narrowing down the final design! So make sure you give enough time to allow the creativity to work its magic!
